We love finding new ways of using technology to your advantage, and we recently won an award for Innovative Media Campaign at the National Safer Communities Awards.
For this project we designed and developed an app for Aberdeen City Council’s Community Safety Department. It contains important information to keep people safe on a night out in the city centre. The app resulted in a large increase of traffic to the Community Safety website, improved relationships with local businesses and was found to be a helpful link for young people requiring access to Domestic Abuse helplines and other important resources.
Over the monitoring period for the app it was also found that there was a decrease of 23% in Serious Assaults in Aberdeen City Centre, which the App may have contributed to. This is estimated to have saved Grampian Police £370,785.00.
We are hugely proud of this project, and although we no longer produce apps this illustrates the innovation and skills we can offer to you.
